Based in Cincinnati, OH, USA, I have been playing guitar, mainly blues, for 25 years, played in numerous bands, been building and repairing guitars for almost that long.

I got interested in cigar box guitars after hearing about Richard Johnston and his Lowebow winning the International Blues Challenge. I built my first CBG – a simple one string, by copying the picture on Richard’s album cover.

Along the way, I also became fascinated by pickups, so what could be better than combining both CBG’s and pickups?

I also use eco and health friendly products like shellac, zero VOC glues, and lead-free solder on all my projects.
